Medical Marijuana Could Be Coming To ARKANSAS in 2015

via ARcompassion.com

Medical cannabis, most commonly known as ‘marijuana,’ relieves the pain and nausea associated with chronic illness and harsh medical treatments like chemotherapy.

However, even though it has been proven safe and effective in both peer-reviewed studies and clinical trials, and has been legalized for use in 20 states and Washington D.C., medical cannabis remains illegal here in Arkansas.

The Arkansas Medical Cannabis Act will allow Arkansas patients, with a doctor’s recommendation, to use medical cannabis for serious debilitating medical conditions. Patients will be able to purchase their medicine at a well-regulated not-for-profit dispensary.
