Here’s Why Arkansas Will Legalize Medical Cannabis in 2016 (See The Pics)

In Arkansas, it’s a tradition to “call the Hogs”. This weekend a different kind of call went out around the natural state. A call for healing, a call for hope, a call for action.

Patients Not Criminals

For 2 days and at nearly 100 locations, hundreds of volunteers across the state of Arkansas collected thousands of signatures for The 2016 Arkansas Medical Cannabis Act.

With record support this year, Arkansans For Compassionate Care has an estimated 75,000 of the 67,887 signatures needed to get the medical cannabis measure on the November 2016 ballot.

Support In Arkansas is The Strongest In The South

In a 2015 poll, 84% of registered Arkansas voters said they agreed with legalizing cannabis for medical purposes. This strong support was shown from voters around the state this weekend.

“It was amazing to see positive response from voters of all ages. There’s a massive amount of support and compassion for patients in all corners of Arkansas. We have the best volunteers in the state!” – Ashley Ewald, Regional director, Arkansans for Compassionate Care
