The Guru of Ganja, Ed Rosenthal, is back with a new installment Beyond Buds Next Generation. Rosenthal is a horticulturist and cannabis activist whose federal court proceedings helped to catapult the movement further.
Also featured in the book is Greg Zeman. Associate Editor at Large of Cannabis Now Magazine. The duo makes for a very informed and pleasant read.
It was refreshing to see someone detail more cannabinoids than simply THC and CBD. In addition, the book also covers CBN, CBGa, and CBC. They also cover the entourage effect as well as some of the early work of Dr. Raphael Mechoulam.
Although the terms are phasing out, Beyond Buds Next Generation, explains the differences between “Sativa” and “Indica” at a horticultural level. The book also mentions the growing theory high myrcene levels mean India.
More and more medical cannabis consumers are becoming health conscious and wanting other options than smoking. Beyond Buds Next Generation is a wealth of knowledge for these types of patients. They have entire sections on vaping, topicals, tinctures, and edibles.
Those more experienced with medical cannabis will appreciate the step-by-step guides. They cover everything from making your own hash, rosin, live resin, tinctures, and much more. Sprinkled throughout are helpful tricks and money saving tips.
Beyond Buds Next Generation is also an extensive dabbing guide. The book does a good job of easing newcomers and deciphering the lingo. The pictures are definitely an added bonus!
All and all Beyond Buds Next Generation is *highly* recommended. It is nicely organized with tons of guides and knowledge. This book is a terrific introduction to cannabis. It does a great job of covering the history, concentrates, different methods of extraction, hash making, distillation, and a lot more.
