As you know, since 2013 Illegally Healed has worked to help advocate for patients and educate the public about the medical benefits of Medical Cannabis. We were one of the first, if not the first, to start gathering stories from patients all over the world and work to start educating the public on the extremely important medical benefits of Cannabis.
What you probably didn’t know, is that this has all been entirely self-funded. We have spent tens of thousands of our own dollars on travel, video equipment, educational materials, banquet halls, and Facebook ads. We did it because we believe in the mission.
With the vast amount of the amazing information now publicly available and the fast rate that Cannabis is becoming less stigmatized, we were happy just doing whatever we could. However, it’s much more clear to us all now that we must do more. There are tens of thousands of patients who can not get safe and legal access due to local, state and federal laws in the U.S. and around the world. Yes, even in states where Cannabis is somewhat legal, patients are still turned away due to the bias of individual legislators.
Our mission now is to do more to advocate for patients rights, educate the public, and raise awareness of where policies and procedures are failing us all so that voters can influence their elected officials to take action.
We haven’t made any major public announcement yet, but Illegally Healed has now received an EIN with the IRS as a 501c3 Charity. Additional registration paperwork is in the process with our attorneys. The good news is that as of now, your donations are now legally tax-deductible as charitable gifts.
We’re at a point where we need to focus all of our efforts on this, and we need your help.
With your gift, your business logo will be listed on a special “Founders Club” page and linked to your homepage. If you prefer to be more anonymous, you can also choose to not be listed.
